As Vice President of Marketing for Breakout Capital, Jay is responsible for all marketing initiatives as well as advancing Breakout’s core philosophies, which include customer education, advocacy and responsible small business lending that is free of predatory practices. Jay also provides free consultation services and business resources to each and every Breakout Capital customer in order to help them improve their businesses.
In addition to being an active participant at both the local and national levels with the SBDC, Jay serves on the Marketing and Communications committee with the Innovative Lending Platform Association, a leading trade organization representing a diverse group of online lending and service companies to small businesses. He is also on the Task Force for the PLUM Initiative, a collaboration between the Milken Institute and the SBA focused on increasing access to affordable capital for minority-owned businesses. Jay brings more than 10 years of marketing and business development experience across multiple industries, with a specific focus on educating customers in difficult-to-understand spaces. Jay received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh.
